Tip # 29
(Loading & Saving, Drag & Drop) PHOTOS ON-HOLD COLLECTION WINDOW
Click here to show the ON-HOLD Window.
You can bring up the "ON-HOLD" window by clicking on the Paper Clip ICON from the button bar or from the Main Menu's "View" menu. Then select the top item "Open On-Hold Container". You will see the ON-HOLD window appear.
It's very simple. It's a sizeable window of thumbnails. You can drag images INTO the window from Photo Jockey or from your Explorer file manager. You can also drag images FROM the window to Photo Jockey or to your Explorer file manager or other applications like Paint, or Photo Shop etc...
Although simple in nature, it's very powerful. Let's say you want to collect all of your favorite photos into a single folder. You can browse around and view all of the folders of interest in the main viewing screen. Then as you notice photos you want to collect, just drag them into the ON-HOLD window. Then continue browsing around and collecting. When finished, your ON-HOLD window contains all photos that you decided to collect.
NOTE: After collecting files into the ON-HOLD window, you can perform many useful functions. You could tag files for Deletion, Printing, Copying, Moving or Batch Database updating.
HINT: You can dbl-click any image in the ON-HOLD window to open a powerful Preview Window for that image.
